Being a navy wife

There are times when life is just life, Gabe goes to work and comes home in the afternoon. But then comes the times when you remember you are in the navy. Gabe is gone for a week and a half on the ship, which in the navy life that is very short time to be gone. Most of the time he will be gone for a month or as we have had to go through twice 5-7 months. So 1 1/2 weeks isn't bad, it still sucks to have him gone. Plus I believe that the reason I don't go to bed til almost midnight is because I don't have my husband telling me we need to get ready for bed. And after you are married it is odd when you have to go to bed by yourself. The one nice thing about Gabe being gone right now is that I have a cold and so by the time he gets home I will be done with it so he won't get it. I will just be happy for this time go by fast and to have Gabe home and safe again. Anyways, this is a small part of being a navy wife and I knew this coming into it. You don't just marry your hushand you also marry the navy.

Temple Trip

So not much happened this week, Gabe worked and I did my thing here at home. Friday was the only day we did much. We were able to go on a youth temple trip and help with them. It was fun and odd to be on a youth trip because I wasn't one of the youth. Sometimes it's odd not to be the youth anymore. Plus I teach the girls that are going out of primary and into young women, and there was three of them there for their first time and that was great getting to help them. I just love being able to go to the temple and get to do work. All in all for a week that was full of nothing it ended great. Well hope you all have a wonderful Sunday tomorrow.

Long Week

So this week has been a long one. A friend and I put a bridal shower on for another friend last night here at my home. I think it turned out good but I was so ready for the day to be over by the time it started. There was just so much we had to do the last few days. It started on wed with making about 500 egg rolls over at my friends house. Which was fun but took all evening. Thurs- I had to make the cake and start to put the icing on. I cleaned on my house (which those who have seen my home is thinking what was there to clean). Then yesterday I had to finish cleaning, decorate the cake, put up the decorations, and at some point Gabe and I had to run over to the base. So I am glad that it is all over and that I have nothing to do today. The only bad thing about today is that Gabe has to work and I don't know for how long. Hopefully he will be able to get to come home sooner then later and we can just have some time to ourselves tonight. Anyway hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and good weather.

Happy 4th of July!

Gabe and I at the Lake. (not the best but
the only one we took of us together)

Kingsley Lake

A duck with her babies at the lake.

Happy 4th of July weekend everyone! Gabe and I had a good 4th, went over to friends of ours and had dinner and then watched their neighbors sat off fireworks. It was just as good as going somewhere to watch them. So needless to say we had a late night and got up late this morning. Witch was fine by me, we don't get to sleep in together enough. By the time we got ourselves ready for the day we thought it would be fun to go out to Kingsley Lake at Camp Blanding. It was so nice. I haven't been to a lake since I was home in Fallon last summer. Most of the time we just go to the Ocean and that is fun but I just like everything about a lake more. Anyway, I hope you all are having a wonderful 4th of July weekend.

Here it goes...

Well I have been thinking about starting a blog for some time but haven't because I don't know what I would write. I still don't know what I will write on here, but here it goes.

I am a wife to a navy man. We have no children at this time. Want to very much but Heavenly Father hasn't blessed us with any yet. So right now my world is my husband Gabriel. He is a wonderful man and I am very blessed to have him. We are both LDS and love our church. I come from a small town in NV and grow up on a farm with horses and cows and you name it. But now I live in a big city and have no animals around. I miss the farm but don't always miss the work that comes with it. My husband is a city boy, who loves the country life. So hopefully one day we can go back to the country out in the west. As for now we are enjoying the navy and what it brings into out lives.
