Getting up to date...

So I have been meaning to get on here and post but for those of you that have children you know how it is. Anyway, since I last posted:
My mom come out for a week.
My mom was able to come out and be with us for a week. It was so nice to have her here and for her to meet Adeleah. The first few days we didn't really do much because I was still not moving around very well. Finally we were able to get out and do some shopping together and just spend some time together. On Sat we were all able to go down to St Augustine and the beach. Then on the way back we stopped at the outlet mall. We went into OshKosh B'gosh and got a few things for Adeleah. I must say that my mom and husband should not go into baby stores together, they will buy everything (well that is cute). Then on sunday we blessed Adeleah so that my mom could be here for it. Monday mom and I took Adeleah in for her two week check. Then sadly mom had to fly home on tuesday.

Adeleah was a sleep for most of the time at the beach, the only time she was awake was when she was eating.

Gabe gave Adeleah a wonderful blessing and did a great job. He was choked up and it was making me cry. It was just a wonderful blessing and I am so thankful that my mom was able to be here for it and that I have a husband that was able to give it.
Adeleah had her 2 week check-up.
All looked good.
And lots of time at home doing feedings, changings, and all the other things that babies do and need.
Adeleah is a great baby, we love her so much and are so thankful to have her in our family. She sleeps great (really good during the day). The only time she cries is when she is getting her diaper changed or when she wants food. Anyway, thats about all I can think of right now. Oh and as a side note, I am feeling much better. Still not able to do everything I want to but hopefully soon they will say I can do things again. (like vacuum my house) Well, enjoy the pictures and hopefully I will post sooner next time.

We are all doing good. Adeleah is great and we are so happy to have her here finally. Gabe is being a great daddy and husband. I am doing good and just happy to have it all over with.

The short story: Sat morning about 9:30am my water broke, went to hospital. By sunday about 5 am we pushed for about an hour, stopped. Started pushing again around 8am pushed for about 4 hours. Then tried to suck her out with a vacuum, didn't work. 30 minutes later we were having a c-section and within 20 minutes she was born. So after spending 4 days in the hospital we came home tuesday afternoon.

Sorry I haven't posted sooner but I am pretty immobile. I will try to post again at some point but there won't be much for a few weeks.

38 weeks....

So yesterday we had our 38 week appointment. But I have to start out with how our day started..... Gabe is working days for the next few weeks because most of the people from work are out on the ship. And because I am due so soon they didn't send Gabe out. So yesterday morning one of the guys from his shop came and got him for work and that way I could take the car and pick him up for the appointment. Well without knowing it Gabe took his keys (which have the car key), and so when I got up and started to get ready I thought I should make sure I knew where the keys where at. That is when I couldn't find them and then couldn't get Gabe on the phone. I finally got him about 20 mins before I wanted to leave. But anyway to make a long story short, Gabe used one of the guys cars came home with the key and then we both went over to the base. Dropped off the other car and then got to our appointment just in time. So yeah yesterday was a little crazy but all worked out in the end and gave us something to joke about. Anyway, at the doctors they checked me and I was 1cm, so I let them strip me. Not much has happened since that but my back has hurt more and today I have had a lot more mucous then ever before. Oh and Adeleah has been dropped/dropping since a few days after my last appointment, so the last two weeks I haven't hurt so much in my ribs:) And we found out that if I am late they will/can induce me at 41 weeks. Which if that is the case I will go for it because my mom will be here March 10th-17th and I need to have Adeleah before she leaves. The only thing we don't like about it is I will be 41 weeks on Friday the 13th. I am still hoping that things will just happen on there own and soon:)
Well that is about all that is going on here right now. I'll let you all know if something happens.

36 weeks.....

I am now at 36 weeks and have one month left to go til my due date (or 28 days)! I am doing good but very much ready for Adeleah to come and to not have her in me anymore. :) I think that by next weekend things can start getting going and hopefully I won't make it to my next doctors appointment on the 19th. We went in for a check up on wed and all was good, she is head down and they think she is about 6 lbs and in the higher oz's. Besides that I can't really say much more because with the navy they don't actually check you until 38 weeks. So yes I don't go back in til the 19th and after that (unless I go over my due date) I won't be checked until I am having her. Isn't the navy great! But I can't say too much because at least it is all free, no bills to pay for having her. So if anyone has any tips for bring on labor I would love to know them.

So besides the waiting game that we are now doing. Tuesday night the Young Women gave me a baby shower, that I didn't know about. It was good and we got some more things to help us be ready. So to all the leaders and girls, Thank you for a good night and for the gifts.
Today we got our tax's back!!! And so I order our cloth diapers and my "g" tops for nursing. Next week I am going to go and get a lot of the things we still need, which when I made the list up Gabe couldn't believe how long it was. He is still getting used to the idea that she will need more then a few outfits a week. More like a few a day:)
Thats about all thats going on here, I will let everyone know if anything happens. And everyone just think happy thoughts of labor for me:)

Baby Shower

Me in my new chair. Gabe says its not just my chair but our chair, because I won't be the only one using it with the baby. But really its my chair!

Just a few of me opening gifts. A lot of them didn't turn out because I was bad and forgot to tell my friend how to use my camera. But that's ok because they all start to look the same in the end just different things in my hands.

Our friend made these for Adeleah and they are just so cute. Gabe loves them and can't wait to see her in them. I think he is already found a dress he wants us to get to go with it.

I would just like to say thank you to those who helped with the shower and my two friends who did my shower for me. Thank you! and thank you to all who got us gifts.

As for baby news... don't really have anything new yet. I go to the doctor next week and they will do an ultrasound to see if she is head down. And they will check to see if I am doing anything yet or not. As for Adeleah she seems to be doing fine, still likes my ribs and moves around all the time (even though I don't know how she has the room to). As for me I am still very ready for this to all happen (well yes and no on the labor part) and to have her here with us.

Whats been going on with us....

I know its been a few weeks since I last posted, but I haven't really had anything to post about. A few of the things that we have done is;
1. Brought a chair for me and the baby. We will be getting that on Friday, I can't wait to have my chair.
2. Had my 32 week checkup. All went good, and I am now 33 weeks.
3. Gabe got the Dragonslayer of the Quarter. Which for anyone not in the navy it is a good thing, looks good on his record and means that he showed exemplary conduct.
4. We had our had our 2nd Anniversary over the weekend. Friday night we went out to a nice dinner at the Melting Pot. If you have never been there it is a lot of fun and it is all about Fondue. If you want to know more about it they have a web sit.
5. Went to the temple for the last time before the baby comes. We both love going and try to go once a month, but it is a lot for me by the time we drive to Orlando and do the temple thing and then drive back home. Plus I really don't want to have something happen and not be close to home and everything. But we do plan on trying to start going back in April or May.
That is about all that really has been going on here. The weather has been cold for about a week now and thats been nice. Friday is my baby shower! I will post pictures soon after that. Other then that we don't really have anything planed other then doctor appointments for me, the baby coming, family coming after Adeleah gets here, and going to Gabes little sisters wedding at the end of May. Well and we get to start looking for new orders next month!!!


Picture of me at 33 weeks and 2 days, I don't think I look much different then the last one. But I am at the point of this can all be done anytime. Well not before 37weeks but after that she can come and I will be just fine with it. I want my body back!

Happy New Year!

Our new year has been good. Last night we went over to friends home and played some cards, ate some food and watched some football. We were home before midnight but both husbands had to be up early this morning. Gabe and I still stayed up and watched the ball in New York, but went to bed soon after. Today Gabe had watch from 7:30 am to 3:30pm. I stayed in bed and bummed around the house till he got home. Then we went to Babies"R"US and registered for the baby shower. It was fun to get more things going for Adeleah. But I think we are both realizing that she will be here before we know it. And at the same time we can't wait to have her here.:) We ended our day with the Olive Garden. It was nice to go out to dinner and just enjoy good food that I didn't have to cook. So all and all I think we had a good start to the new year. I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Day too and that 2009 can be a great year for us all.
