Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season and for some of you staying warm. And if any of you that has snow would like to send it our way that would be great! We are to be in the high 70's to low 80's on Christmas. Well Christmas here is going great, we are done with the shopping and Christmas parties. After today Gabe is off for the week. We plan on just having a nice few days to ourselves and enjoy the last Christmas as just the two of us.
As for baby news: we are almost to 30 weeks!!!!!!!!!! The baby and I are doing good, she has now found my ribs. Gabe and I are both getting very excited to have her here in a few months. Plus I can't wait to be able to sleep however I want again. Well again I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.

Its Christmas time....

I love Christmas and all that it comes with. It is such a happy wonderful time of year. And thankfully I have a husband that loves it just about as much as I do. So last friday we went and got our tree! That day I put up all the little decorations around the house and in the evening we decorated the tree together. It was fun to put it all up together this year. Last year Gabe wasn't home to help decorate the house or pick out the tree or anything. It is just so much better to be able to have my husband home for all of the holidays. Plus I don't know how well I could have done it all this year with my belly and all that comes with it. Anyway, I hope you all are having a wonderful time getting ready for Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!

This week has been very full of things and I didn't think we would get it all done up to this point. But thankfully we have and now we can have a nice Thanksgiving Day here at home with little to do. This is our first one together being married and I am so thankful to have my wonderful husband home to enjoy it with. I hope you all have a wonderful Day and remember all the things you are thankful in your lives.

24 weeks

Today I had my 24 week appointment and all was good. Adeleah is doing good, kicking lots. Gabe has gotten to see and feel her kick. I think she likes to kick after I eat. Besides that not much going on here. Gabe left for a week with the navy again. Thankfully this time he can call and talk to me. After he gets back he shouldn't have to go anywhere til after the new year.
Oh and here is a picture of the quilt I made for Adeleah. I am making all of her crib bedding. I just don't like most of the bedding out there for babies and what I do like is way too much to spend on bedding. Plus I know how to make it, so way not.

Its A GIRL.......

She is waving hi to everyone.
Head, arms, and legs.

Our appointment went good this morning. Everything looked good and the baby gave us a somewhat good view to see what it was. They gave us a 80% chance of it being a girl. Which with girls their not a 100% until their born so we are happy with what we were given. Gabe and I are both very excited to be having a girl! Her name will be Adeleah Rae Ruhnow. Other then that we are both doing good. She likes to kick and we have both been able to see the kicks. Next week I have my 24 week appointment, so all is good here.

Halloween...a little late.

For Halloween we just stayed at home and passed out candy. It was fun, Gabe and I dressed up just for the fun of it. I think most of the kids were scared of Gabe. But Halloween was fun and now I can't wait for Christmas to be here! Actually I can't wait to hopefully find out what the baby is on wed.

For my wonderful husband

My husband wanted pictures of me and this is the fast and easy way to do it.
I know that are not the best but had to take them myself. But here are a few
of me at 21 weeks and 2 days.
Baby news: just have my next ultrasound on the 5th and then my 24 week
appointment on the 14th. All is going well that I know of. Just can't wait to
know what we are having.

So today was our wards Young Women program. And since I am now in Young Women I got to sit up there with them, thankfully all I had to do was help sing the songs. The girls did a wonderful job and it was a great program. Now I just get to have a very quiet afternoon at home alone. Well I don't know if it will be quiet all that much. This weekend is the air show and so I have been getting to hear the Blue Angels fly over my house for the last few days. But its ok because it just reminds me of home in NV. Well I hope you all have a wonderful sunday. And honey I love you, can't wait to have you home in a few days.

Halloween is coming!

So with Gabe gone I have a lot of time on my hands. And not a lot of things to do. And so I put up Halloween the other night, not a lot but its something. It took me two hours to do it though. I know it doesn't look like it should have taken that long but it did. I did mind though because what else did I have to do. Plus I remember when I was a kid I loved to see the houses done up, so you can say I did it for the kids! Anyway, hope you like it and you all are having a good weekend.

Two weeks without Gabe:(

Gabe left this morning for two weeks on the ship. Sometimes I really hate the navy! But anyway, I just hope he is home for Halloween, I don't want to pass out candy by myself. And we have never had a Halloween together, always been on the ship. We did get our pumpkin done already, did it for family home evening. It was fun. I don't think Gabe has done one since before his mission. Here's our pumpkin!

Baby news: we have our next appointment (2nd ultrasound) on Nov 5th. So hope and pray it shows its little self to us. If you have any ideas about getting the baby to move for it, I am more then willing to try. Other then that all is going good. I feel the baby more and more, mainly in the afternoons. I love to feel it! Anyway, here is a picture of my belly. (Gabe took it and he only takes it of my belly, so sorry no head)

Still at 50/50

So yeah it didn't want to let us see anything. But everything looked good. They want to see me back in 4 weeks for a another ultrasound. Couldn't see the kidneys very well and the cord was up around the head so they want to check on that again. The doc is not worried about the cord or anything so as of right now all is well and still don't know what it is.

Change in Plans

Yesterday we found out that Gabe now has to leave the day we are to go in for the big ultrasound. This didn't make me happy at all! So this morning we called to see about getting our appointment moved to the day before or something, but didn't get anyone. Thankfully just before Gabe left for work this afternoon (side note: Gabe is now working nights, good and bad at times), they called us back and the only thing they had open is tomorrow. This will put me at 18 weeks and 6 days, so hope they can see all they need to and that we can find out the sex. I really don't want to have to go back in, plus I really want Gabe to be there when we find out the sex of the baby. Besides that little change everything seems to be doing fine. I have started to feel the baby move. Not very much but thats ok with me. It just makes me happy to actually feel something in the some moments I do. I do feel bad for Gabe though because every time I say that it is kicking me he puts his hand on me and wants so much to feel something. I just have to tell him he will soon. Oh and monday we got the crib and changing table. That makes me happy and feel better that we have something for the baby finally. Well thats about it for now, just everyone hope they can see everything tomorrow.

Not much, Just life

This past week Gabe started "work" softball again for the fall. He had a game on tues and weds, I went to the weds one. They are doing pretty good, better then in the spring but that because they are having practice this time. It is fun to go, plus it gives me something to do out of the house and I get to talk with some of the other wives.
So friday Gabe had to work and then he had watch after that until midnight. I hate days like that when the only time I see him is in the morning getting him out the door and just before we go to bed. Thankfully we had a good day yesterday. Gabe did the yard and washed the car and I cleaned the house (some deep cleaning that really needed done). So not the most fun day but it was nice because we were able to be together. Oh and last night we watched Leatherheads, it was so funny. Or at least I thought it was.
Baby news: we will hopefully know what we are having on Oct 15th. I can't wait!!! So hope it lets us see and that Gabe will be here for it. (He leaves the next day for two weeks on the ship) If you want you can tell me what you think I am going to have. But besides that the baby seems to be doing fine. Still haven't felt anything, but love chips right now. Well hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

I can finally tell people!!!

I got a new calling a few weeks ago, Laurel advisor. So I am out of Primary, which is nice but sometimes I wish I was still there. But I will have fun with the girls and its one calling I haven't had before. So friday was my 23 rd birthday. Gabe brought me home flowers thurs night so that I could have them all day. And since we had already gotten us our gift for each other, we brought a wii, we didn't really do much. So we have been enjoying that and then we had some friends over that night for Cheesecake.

BUT.... want I have be wanting to tell everyone for weeks now is that I am Pregnant!!!!!!! I am 16 weeks and 3 days. I know I didn't have to wait this long but last year we had a miscarriage and so I wanted to make sure things were going to be ok this time. Plus today was only our 2nd appointment, but all was great and we even got to see the baby again. It didn't want to stay still so I don't have a good picture. But we will be going in about 2-3 weeks for the big ultrasound and I will let you all know what it is then and put a picture up.

Back from Oregon

Oregon State Fair~my families horses

My Husband and Dad

So we are finally back and everything here at the house is still good. Our trip was good and it was wonderful to be back where there are mountains and to see family. So the first part we were at the Oregon State Fair, where my family has been showing Draft Horses for years. And I have gone just about ever year of my life to the fair. And this year I was finally able to take my husband. He has never really been around horses and things so it was all new for him. But he did great and started to really know what to do by the end. But he also found out that there is a lot of work that comes with it. All in all I think he enjoyed fair. I know I did, plus I was able to get the best ice cream in the world! At the fair there is a place that makes their own and it is the best and I have been wanting it for months. Anyway, fair was great and it was wonderful to see my family. After fair we went the hour drive to stay at Gabes parents home for the rest of our trip. There we had a BBQ, went to the mountains to play around on the 4 wheelers, and just had a good time being with family. The one thing Gabe didn't get to do that he really wanted was to float the river or something in the river. But unfortunately it was just not warm enough the whole time we were there. Besides not getting to have any fun in the river we had a great time with the family. And now we are home and it is good to be. We miss our families though. I wish we didn't have to live so far away.

Vernon Joseph Harper

Last night my sister in-law (Millie) and my brother (Mike) had their baby. It was a boy 8lbs 3 oz, and I don't know how long they didn't say. His name is Vernon Joseph, named after our grandpa and great grandpa on our moms side of the family. All is well with mom and baby. I will put a picture up when I can get one from my parents. On other news. Gabe had a good birthday and is now 27. He thinks hes old, I am not to remind him how old he really is. I don't think he is old at all. And last of what is going on in our life right now, TS Fay is on its way to us and we are trying to get to Orlando so that we can fly out to Oregon for our trip. Hopefully we can make it down today. If all goes well we will be gone for two weeks. And hopefully our home will be safe while we are out of town. It should be fine, the only thing I am thinking will happen is losing all the food because of power going out. Well I hope all is well with you guys and I hope to not be on here for about two weeks.

Not much going on...

Gabe has been home now for almost a week and is now back to work. So I thought I should write a little. Well I am over my cold, it took me over a week to get over it, but it was gone by the time Gabe got home. And somehow he still ended up with it, he even stayed home from work yesterday which he never does. I guess a lot of people out on the ship were getting it too. Well besides the cold not much going on here right now. There are a few things to look forward to thankfully. Gabes birthday is on the 16th!! First birthday we will actually get to be together for. Gabes always been on the ship during our birthdays. And we leave for Oregon on the 21st, for two weeks, can't wait!!!

Being a navy wife

There are times when life is just life, Gabe goes to work and comes home in the afternoon. But then comes the times when you remember you are in the navy. Gabe is gone for a week and a half on the ship, which in the navy life that is very short time to be gone. Most of the time he will be gone for a month or as we have had to go through twice 5-7 months. So 1 1/2 weeks isn't bad, it still sucks to have him gone. Plus I believe that the reason I don't go to bed til almost midnight is because I don't have my husband telling me we need to get ready for bed. And after you are married it is odd when you have to go to bed by yourself. The one nice thing about Gabe being gone right now is that I have a cold and so by the time he gets home I will be done with it so he won't get it. I will just be happy for this time go by fast and to have Gabe home and safe again. Anyways, this is a small part of being a navy wife and I knew this coming into it. You don't just marry your hushand you also marry the navy.

Temple Trip

So not much happened this week, Gabe worked and I did my thing here at home. Friday was the only day we did much. We were able to go on a youth temple trip and help with them. It was fun and odd to be on a youth trip because I wasn't one of the youth. Sometimes it's odd not to be the youth anymore. Plus I teach the girls that are going out of primary and into young women, and there was three of them there for their first time and that was great getting to help them. I just love being able to go to the temple and get to do work. All in all for a week that was full of nothing it ended great. Well hope you all have a wonderful Sunday tomorrow.

Long Week

So this week has been a long one. A friend and I put a bridal shower on for another friend last night here at my home. I think it turned out good but I was so ready for the day to be over by the time it started. There was just so much we had to do the last few days. It started on wed with making about 500 egg rolls over at my friends house. Which was fun but took all evening. Thurs- I had to make the cake and start to put the icing on. I cleaned on my house (which those who have seen my home is thinking what was there to clean). Then yesterday I had to finish cleaning, decorate the cake, put up the decorations, and at some point Gabe and I had to run over to the base. So I am glad that it is all over and that I have nothing to do today. The only bad thing about today is that Gabe has to work and I don't know for how long. Hopefully he will be able to get to come home sooner then later and we can just have some time to ourselves tonight. Anyway hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and good weather.

Happy 4th of July!

Gabe and I at the Lake. (not the best but
the only one we took of us together)

Kingsley Lake

A duck with her babies at the lake.

Happy 4th of July weekend everyone! Gabe and I had a good 4th, went over to friends of ours and had dinner and then watched their neighbors sat off fireworks. It was just as good as going somewhere to watch them. So needless to say we had a late night and got up late this morning. Witch was fine by me, we don't get to sleep in together enough. By the time we got ourselves ready for the day we thought it would be fun to go out to Kingsley Lake at Camp Blanding. It was so nice. I haven't been to a lake since I was home in Fallon last summer. Most of the time we just go to the Ocean and that is fun but I just like everything about a lake more. Anyway, I hope you all are having a wonderful 4th of July weekend.

Here it goes...

Well I have been thinking about starting a blog for some time but haven't because I don't know what I would write. I still don't know what I will write on here, but here it goes.

I am a wife to a navy man. We have no children at this time. Want to very much but Heavenly Father hasn't blessed us with any yet. So right now my world is my husband Gabriel. He is a wonderful man and I am very blessed to have him. We are both LDS and love our church. I come from a small town in NV and grow up on a farm with horses and cows and you name it. But now I live in a big city and have no animals around. I miss the farm but don't always miss the work that comes with it. My husband is a city boy, who loves the country life. So hopefully one day we can go back to the country out in the west. As for now we are enjoying the navy and what it brings into out lives.
